Assessments.
We offer a range of neurodevelopmental and mental health assessments for children, adolescents, and adults. We exclusively use gold-standard, evidence-based assessments and are committed to best practices for assessment and diagnosis.

A bit about it
Introduction
Assessments are sought out for a variety of reasons. For some, it may be about understanding their difficulties better. For others, it may be necessary to access certain services, for example, extra support for education. For many, it can be helpful and validating to understand their difficulties through the lens of a diagnosis.
Logistics
The assessment process may vary depending on the diagnosis in question but typically takes place over several sessions. This allows time for clinical interviews, psychometric measures, and a final session to discuss the findings. For certain assessments, input from family members or teachers may be necessary. After the assessment, you’ll receive a report outlining the findings, diagnosis (if applicable), how it presents, and tailored recommendations. Specialized reports for schools or universities can also be provided to support student success.
Payment
Services with Donohue Consulting are provided as a fee-for-service and our rates will be discussed with you during your initial consultation. We accept card payments and bank transfers. Donohue Consulting is not partnered with any insurance, however, we can provide invoices for reimbursement through your insurance.
How it works
1
Firstly, book your free 15 minute consultation. In your booking, please add in the note section the kind of assessment you are seeking. We will discuss if the assessment is appropriate given your experiences/circumstances and if we are the right service for you. We'll also discuss any questions you may have.
2
We will provide a contract that outlines the process of your assessment as well as some other important factors. If in agreement, you (or the parent/guardian in the instance of clients under 18) will sign the contract and fill in our emergency contact form. We are committed to keeping you safe throughout the assessment process and this step is an important part of that.
3
Attend your assessment session(s). At the end of all of your assessments, we will have a final session to go over the results with you. Within two weeks following your final session, you will have a written report outlining our findings from the assessment.
